Woolpert, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead bridge design tasks for transportation projects, with a focus on TxDOT work in Texas. Location preference is within Texas, and applicants must already have work authorization in the U.S.

Qualified candidates will possess a Texas PE license and a strong track record in leading bridge design initiatives. You will oversee structural designs, cost estimates, and QA checks, mentor engineers, coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering as stated.
• Texas PE license is required for the role.
• Experience leading bridge design projects and teams.
• Proficiency with listed design software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with a team to manage and execute bridge design tasks for TxDOT projects.
• Oversee structural designs, specifications, and cost estimations for bridges and related structures.
• Supervise load rating analyses and rehabilitation concepts.
• Mentor engineers and CAD staff in design software usage.
• Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and drafters on projects.
• Develop design procedures to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Participate in interdisciplinary project reviews.
• Develop construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates.
• Perform QA checks on design calculations and drawings.
• Develop engineering budgets and schedules to support project management.
