Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) in Houston, TX, seeks a Structural Engineer to design and analyze transportation structures, ensuring safety, budget and schedule compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required and PE license; master's in structural engineering desirable.
• 4–7 years of bridge design experience desired.
• Familiarity with TXDOT Bridge Design practices is required.
• Experience with Design-Bid-Build projects is required.
• Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads; knowledge of ProjectWise and CSI Bridge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and design of structural components for bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation-related structures.
• Deliver contract documents such as construction plans, design calculations, and project specifications.
• Perform design using AASHTO and state/local design requirements; ensure safety and constructability.
• Assist project management, handle seismic design, bridge/culvert design, load rating, and construction submittal reviews.
• Mentor junior staff and support group leader with managerial duties.
