Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer to lead bridge design and analysis for state DOTs and municipal clients. You will guide project teams, perform advanced structural analyses, and ensure design accuracy and constructability.

The role offers flexible work options including remote or office locations, with opportunities to mentor engineers and advance in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in civil engineering with focus on bridge design and transportation structures
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Experience applying AASHTO, LRFD, and DOT design manuals
• Proven QA/QC oversight on complex structural designs
• Experience with DOTs, municipalities, and county agencies
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead design of bridge structures to meet objectives and standards
• Perform and review complex structural analyses with industry tools
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams from inception to completion
• Coordinate with contractors, agencies, and stakeholders to maintain schedules and budgets
• Ensure QA/QC through design calculations and drawings
• Provide technical solutions and engage with clients as needed
