Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer to lead the design and analysis of complex transportation structures, with a focus on bridge projects for state DOTs and local agencies. Remote work is supported from approved U.S.

locations; you will guide technical teams, oversee analyses, drawings, and construction documents, and maintain schedules and budgets while delivering high‑quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in civil engineering focused on bridge design and transportation structures.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with AASHTO, LRFD, and DOT design manuals.
• Proven QA/QC on complex bridge structures.
• Experience with state DOTs and municipalities.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge design and analysis projects from concept to delivery.
• Perform and review complex structural analyses using industry tools.
• Oversee design drawings, calculations, and construction documents.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams and schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures are strictly followed.
• Engage with clients to communicate progress and identify value.
