Job summary

Consor is seeking a Bridge Design Lead in Texas to provide technical direction for complex bridge and transportation infrastructure projects. You will lead design execution, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with codes, schedules, and budgets.

The role requires 15+ years in bridge design, a PE license, and strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills. This hybrid position offers opportunities to advance engineering excellence and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering; PE license required.
• 15+ years of progressive bridge/structural design experience, including TxDOT projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and proposal experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of bridge design plans, calculations, specifications, and technical reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
• Apply advanced engineering principles, industry standards, and applicable codes to develop innovative, safe, resilient, and cost-effective bridge design solutions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, agencies, and regulatory bodies to align project objectives, resolve technical challenges, and maintain schedules.
• Perform structural analyses, load ratings, rehabilitation assessments, cost estimates, and quantity takeoffs to support planning and delivery.
• Direct QA/QC efforts, including independent design reviews and responses to stakeholder and construction-phase comments.
• Mentor, train, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
