Job summary

Consor is seeking a Bridge Design Lead in Texas to guide the planning, design, and analysis of bridge projects. You will lead design solutions, coordinate with clients and regulators, and ensure compliance with standards while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires 10+ years in structural/bridge design, a PE license, and strong writing/communication skills for proposals and client engagement. A hybrid office/field environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in structural/bridge design, including TxDOT projects.
• Active PE license; ability to obtain licensure in additional states.
• Proficiency in MicroStation ORD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and LEAP/CSI.
• Experience leading design teams and delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
• Strong technical writing and communication; proposal development and client engagement a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of bridge design plans, calculations, and reports.
• Apply standards and best practices to deliver compliant, cost-effective designs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulators to align objectives.
• Perform structural analyses, cost estimates, and quantity takeoffs.
• Direct QA/QC, respond to stakeholder comments, and ensure design quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote design consistency.
