Job summary

Consor is seeking a Bridge Design Lead in Dallas to serve as the technical authority for planning, design, analysis, and delivery of complex bridge and transportation projects. You will lead innovative, constructible design solutions, ensuring compliance with codes and quality standards.

The role oversees structural analysis, load ratings, rehabilitation, and new design, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in structural/bridge design, including TxDOT projects.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license; licensure in additional states a plus.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and deliver projects on schedule and budget.
• Strong technical writing and client engagement skills; proposal development a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of bridge design plans, calculations, specs, and reports.
• Apply advanced engineering principles to develop safe, resilient, cost-effective designs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and agencies to meet objectives.
• Perform structural analyses, load ratings, rehab assessments, and quantity takeoffs.
• Direct QA/QC, independent design reviews, and respond to stakeholders’ comments.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting consistent engineering practices.
• Serve as technical lead for bridge projects, managing execution, risk, scope, and schedule.
• Develop and evaluate alternatives for new, replacement, rehab, and preservation projects.
