Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Major Crossings Design-Build Principal to lead pursuit, planning, and execution of major bridge and transportation projects across the US. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage design-build delivery, and develop client relationships, ensuring quality, schedule and budget objectives.

This role requires 15+ years of experience, a PE, and proven leadership in complex bridges with alternative delivery methods and large construction values. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of managing complex highway and bridge projects.
• Proven Design Manager, Project Manager, or senior design leader on major transportation projects with bridges.
• Experience with Design-Build or alternative delivery on projects exceeding $500 million.
• Experience implementing QA/QC programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design management across large Design-Build and alternative delivery projects.
• Mentor bridge and highway design managers and promote best practices.
• Oversee pursuit activities, including proposals and ATC development.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulators to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Oversee project controls, scheduling, budgets, and risk management.
• Ensure quality and effective client engagement throughout delivery.
