Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Major Crossings Design-Build Principal to lead pursuit, planning, and execution of large-scale bridge and transportation infrastructure projects across the US. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, drive client relationships, and integrate design with construction to deliver landmark outcomes.

The role requires 15+ years managing complex projects, P.E. licensure, and proven Design-Build or alternative delivery experience on projects over $500 million.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• P.E. registration (state licensure).
• 15+ years of experience managing complex highway and bridge projects.
• Experience as Design Manager or senior design leader on major transportation projects with bridges.
• Proven Design-Build or alternative delivery on projects >$500M.
• Experience developing, implementing, and managing QA/QC programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel or co-locate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver design services on large, complex Design-Build and alternative delivery projects.
• Represent Jacobs at client meetings and industry events across geographies.
• Mentor bridge and highway Design Managers and promote best practices.
• Lead pursuit-phase activities including proposal development and ATC development.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors and transportation agencies.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across multiple offices and locations.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, forecasts, and project metrics.
