Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Major Crossings Design-Build Principal to lead pursuit, planning, and execution of high‑profile bridge and transportation infrastructure projects across the United States. You will provide strategic leadership across large-scale design-build and alternative delivery programs, guiding multidisciplinary teams and fostering client relationships to ensure successful project delivery.

This role demands executive-level stakeholder management and a track record of delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration
• 15+ years' experience managing complex highway/bridge projects
• Proven Design-Build or alternative delivery leadership on transportation projects
• Experience with QA/QC programs and risk management
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to travel or co-locate with project teams as required

Responsibilities

• Serve as Design Manager for coordinating design services on large, complex Design-Build/highway projects
• Lead pursuit activities, proposal development, and ATC development
• Mentor bridge and highway Design Managers and promote best practices
• Build relationships with contractors, agencies, owners, and stakeholders
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across offices and locations
• Ensure schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met
• Collaborate with project controls, scheduling, and construction teams to manage risks
