Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Major Crossings Design-Build Principal to lead pursuit, planning, and execution of large bridge and transportation projects. You will guide multidisciplinary teams from pursuit through delivery, championing Design-Build and alternative delivery, and strengthening client and partner relationships.

The role demands 15+ years in complex highway/bridge programs, a P.E. license, and a track record of delivering >$500M projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration required.
• 15+ years managing complex highway and bridge projects.
• Experience as Design Manager, Project Manager, or senior design leader on major transportation projects.
• Proven Design-Build or alternative delivery experience on large projects (>$500M).
• Experience implementing QA/QC programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel or co-locate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Design Manager coordinating design services on large, complex Design-Build projects.
• Lead pursuit activities including proposal development and ATC development.
• Mentor bridge and highway Design Managers; promote best practices.
• Build relationships with contractors, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across multiple offices and locations.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and project metrics across disciplines.
• Oversee contract administration, invoicing, and project profitability.
• Develop execution plans and staffing for each phase of delivery.
