Job summary

Appian’s Creative Design team in McLean, VA seeks a seasoned Graphic Designer to shape brand experiences across campaigns, events, and executive storytelling. You will translate complex tech concepts into human-centered visuals, collaborating with leadership and vendors to deliver multi-channel design at enterprise scale.

You’ll contribute to brand-aligned creative across digital and print, ensuring consistency and dynamic expression for global marketing initiatives while expanding the visual

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related creative discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional graphic design, brand design, or visual communication experience in agency or in-house environments.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) with experience in Figma, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
• Strong command of typography, layout, color, visual hierarchy, and brand systems across channels.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and production skills with vendors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute polished, production-ready creative across digital, print, presentations, events, and marketing initiatives.
• Create event and experiential design for conferences, customer engagements, and brand experiences.
• Develop executive storytelling materials that translate complex concepts into clear visual narratives.
• Apply and extend Appian’s global brand system across formats while evolving visual expression.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate briefs into visual solutions.
• Work with external agencies and vendors to ensure high-quality execution across media.
• Prepare production-ready files and manage design specs for vendors and platforms.
