Job summary

Appian in McLean, VA is seeking a seasoned Graphic Designer for the Creative Design team. You will shape brand visuals across campaigns, events, and digital experiences, translating complex technology into compelling narratives.

You’ll partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain a consistent, high-quality visual language, delivering production-ready assets for global initiatives and engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional design experience in brand or corporate settings.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and design tools listed.
• Strong typography, layout, and visual hierarchy across channels.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with stakeholders and vendors.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design for corporate events, print, digital, and brands.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute polished creative across multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, presentations, events).
• Create event and experiential design for conferences and brand experiences across physical and digital environments.
• Develop executive storytelling materials and presentations translating complex concepts into visuals.
• Apply and extend Appian’s global brand system across formats while evolving visual expression.
• Collaborate with leadership, Marketing, Events and cross-functional teams to translate briefs into visuals.
• Coordinate with external agencies and vendors to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
• Prepare production-ready files and manage design specs across vendors and media.
