Job summary

Appian seeks a seasoned Graphic/Brand Designer to strengthen our Creative Design team in McLean, VA. You will craft polished visuals for campaigns, events, decks, and digital experiences, translating complex tech concepts into human-centered design while ensuring brand consistency across channels.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Events, and Product teams, delivering high-visibility creative that aligns with our Enterprise-Grade Orchestration platform and global marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, marketing, or related creative discipline.
• 5+ years of professional graphic design, brand design, or visual communication experience in agency or in-house teams.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) with strong Figma, PowerPoint, and Google Slides skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute polished, production-ready creative across multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, presentations, events, experiential).
• Create event and experiential design for conferences, customer engagements, field events, and brand experiences across physical and digital environments.
• Develop executive storytelling materials and presentations translating complex tech and business concepts into clear visuals.
• Apply and extend Appian's brand system across formats while maintaining consistency and evolving visual expression.
• Collaborate with Creative leadership, Marketing, Events, Product Marketing, and stakeholders to translate briefs into visual solutions.
• Work with external agencies and vendors to ensure high-quality execution across channels.
• Prepare production-ready files and manage design specs for vendors, platforms, and media.
