Job summary

WillScot is seeking a Branch Operations Manager to lead a busy branch in the US, focusing on safety, cost control, workforce management, and inventory efficiency. You will oversee production, yard, dispatch, and field staff while ensuring high customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

You will drive costs, coordinate with HR for talent development, and optimize logistics, parts, and vendor relationships to sustain branch performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or 3 years of applicable experience.
• 5 years experience managing one or more direct reports in a service shop/manufacturing/building construction environment or 2 years with WillScot.
• Experience managing a unit or departmental budget or 2 years with WillScot.
• Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience applying creativity to problem-solving.
• Build sustainable relationships and trust with vendors through open, proactive communication.
• Ability to manage multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect managerial oversight to branch operational employees including Production Supervisors, Shop/Yard Labor, Field Service, Dispatchers/Transportation Coordinators, Drivers, Branch Coordinator.
• Manages daily tasks for temporary workers and contractors as appropriate.
• Communicates clearly to all branch employees.
• Uses internal systems to ensure safe, timely, cost effective delivery of revenue activities.
• Manages costs via maintenance, inventory and servicing of the fleet.
• Plans with budgets and actively manages costs to operate the branch.
• Ensures work orders, rent/damage billing, inventory and purchasing compliance.
• Maintains parts, VAPS and resources for efficient operations.
• Collaborates with HR to recruit and develop the branch workforce.
• Manages logistics including safety, resources, DOT, route efficiency.
• Oversees fleet idle management and inventory counts.
• Drives first-time quality and reduces service calls through root cause analysis.
• Supports production and customer service excellence.
