Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Leadman to lead craft teams in boiler and vessel assembly, ensuring alignment, fit, and safety across all stages. The role supports Foreman, guides journeymen, and ensures quality assembly of water tube boilers and related components on site.

The candidate will use power and hand tools, perform basic maintenance, and uphold project safety rules while coordinating crane operations and on-site inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with experience in field or related area.
• Under supervision; follows pre-established guidelines to perform functions.
• Must work at heights and comply with safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark reference points for columns on foundation and align with a straight edge and measuring tools.
• Attach rigging or signal crane operator to lift components to position.
• Align structures or plates using plumb bobs and levels for boiler frame assembly.
• Weld or bolt structures and sections together as required.
• Position drums and headers into supports and secure them to the frame.
• Inspect assembled vessels by testing with water or gas for leaks according to specs.
