Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Certified Journeyman to assemble, analyze for defects, and repair boilers, tanks, vats, and pressure vessels per blueprints. The role uses power and hand tools, with emphasis on welding, cutting, and mechanical fitting.

Responsibilities include aligning structures, signaling lifts, testing assemblies, and performing field repairs. Strong safety awareness and precise shop math are required to meet project specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related field experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications precisely.
• Knowledge of geometry, measurements, and tolerance calculations.

Responsibilities

• Locate reference points and set foundations using straight edges and measuring tools.
• Assist crane operations by signaling and guiding lifts.
• Align and assemble boiler frames, tanks, and related components.
• Cut, fit, weld, and bolt components to form completed assemblies.
• Perform maintenance and occasional repairs on boilers and tanks.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and report any hazards.
