Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Leadman to provide leadership and guidance to craft workers while functioning as a journeyman on boiler and pressure vessel assembly and repair projects. The role involves reading blueprints, assembling components, performing torch cutting, welding, bolting, and testing equipment.

You will coordinate with foremen, signal crane operations, ensure safety compliance, and support field maintenance and repairs across sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related field experience preferred.
• Familiarity with shop mathematics and measurement techniques.
• Ability to plan work and select proper tools.
• Ability to visualize complex three-dimensional arrangements from plans.
• Decision making based on measurable criteria.
• Candidates must be comfortable working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide craft workers; assist Foreman as journeyman.
• Assemble, inspect for defects, and repair boilers and pressure vessels per blueprints.
• Mark reference points, align structures, and signal crane operators.
• Weld, bolt, or fit components; perform torch cutting and fitting.
• Test assembled vessels and observe for leakage under pressure.
• Perform field maintenance and on-site repairs as needed.
• Observe safety rules and perform other duties as required.
