Job summary

Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District 2021 is seeking a Stationary Engineer to operate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities and equipment, including steam turbines and boilers, in a safe and efficient manner.

The role requires maintaining logs, monitoring systems via HMI/OIT, and following rigorous safety protocols. A valid Ohio Stationary Engineer license and a driver’s license are essential, with the ability to work rotating shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years’ experience operating and maintaining steam turbines and boilers.
• Ohio Stationary Engineer license required; valid driver’s license needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor fluidized-bed incinerators, boilers and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on plant equipment.
• Record operating data and maintain logs.
• Follow safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
• Assist in training operators and maintaining clean, organized work areas.
