Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations seeks a Plant Operator to maintain safe, environmentally compliant boiler operations, optimize steam flows, and improve generation efficiency. The role involves monitoring emissions while leading and training junior operators and plant personnel.

The ideal candidate has power plant experience, mechanical skills, and appropriate licenses, with responsibilities spanning daily operations through to safety-critical checks and documentation.

Qualifications

• Two years in a power plant or 5 years related experience or training.
• Mechanical skills for components (shear pins, valve repacking, inspections).
• ASME QRO Provisional license required.
• Math skills to perform job functions.
• Knowledge of steam power plant operation.
• Massachusetts 2nd Class Engineers license may be required for some facilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant operational and emissions data.
• Respond to changing conditions to maximize safety, environmental compliance, and efficiency.
• Direct and train Operators and plant personnel as required.
• Perform outages inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Handle physical tasks related to boiler maintenance and plant equipment.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, and staff.
