Job summary

Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District seeks a Wastewater Plant Operator - C1 (Stationary Engineer) at the Southerly Treatment Plant in Cuyahoga Heights, OH. Under supervision, you will operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and related systems.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Ohio Stationary Engineer license, and at least three years of boiler/turbine experience. Rate: $34.76 per hour; rotating shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of experience operating steam turbines and boilers.
• Experience with fluidized-bed/incinerators is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and related systems.
• Monitor and control processes via HMI/OIT and alarms.
• Perform startup/shutdown of burners and scrubber systems.
• Maintain logs and records; conduct routine analytical tests.
• Follow safety procedures and assist with training new operators.
