Job summary

POET in Fostoria, OH, is seeking a licensed Stationary Steam Engineer to manage high‑pressure boiler and steam turbine operations. You will perform water testing, system maintenance and data-driven optimization on a 12‑hour shift schedule on-site.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Stationary Steam Engineer license as required by the plant.
• One year steam plant operating experience required; two years preferred.
• Two years of experience with fabrication, welding, torching, and boiler/turbine operations preferred.
• Proficiency in basic math, reading comprehension, and mechanical reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Operate high‑pressure boiler and steam turbine systems.
• Maintain steam water quality and perform adjustments for quality control.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on plant equipment.
• Utilize DCS and data to optimize operations and troubleshoot issues.
• Follow start-up/shut-down, cleaning and batching procedures.
