Job summary

The role requires a Stationary Engineer license in Ohio, a high school diploma or GED, and experience in boiler room operations. You will lead a junior technician and support daily plant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to three years experience in boiler room operations.
• Must hold an Ohio Stationary Engineer license.
• Read, write, and perform simple calculations.
• Valid Ohio driver's license.
• Direct one other employee.

Responsibilities

• Make hourly inspections of equipment and monitor operation of main and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain shift log for gauges and meters and monitor control panels.
• Maintain boiler water level and perform blows down at prescribed intervals.
• Adjust service based on plant load and activate additional boilers as needed.
• Collect water samples, run tests, and document results; treat water as required.
• Perform corrective repairs until the maintainer has control.
• Monitor oxygen and nitrous oxide supplies and reorder when needed.
• Clean boiler room and related areas and perform custodial duties.
• Train and supervise the Plant Operations Assistant.
• Perform routine maintenance on heating, cooling and ventilation equipment.
