Job summary

JLL is hiring a Stationary Steam Engineer in Mason, OH to serve as the technical backbone of critical plant operations. You will operate and maintain high-pressure boilers, HVAC systems, and plant utilities to ensure 24/7 reliability and peak performance.

Qualifications

• Valid State Stationary Steam Engineer License.
• Hands-on experience operating high-pressure steam boilers.
• Knowledge of industrial chiller systems, compressed air systems and plant utilities.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical manuals.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays to support 24/7 operations.
• Physical capability to work in industrial environments with heat, noise and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high-pressure steam boilers in accordance with state regulations; perform routine inspections and water treatment monitoring; optimize combustion efficiency while ensuring safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Operate and maintain industrial chiller systems and HVAC equipment; monitor refrigerant levels, temperatures, and pressures to support facility cooling and performance.
• Manage plant utilities including compressed air, compressors, dryers, and valve operations to maintain flow and pressure for continuous production.
• Monitor plant control systems and instrumentation; respond to alarms and malfunctions; adjust settings to maintain stability and prevent downtime.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance; maintain logs and records; identify issues and implement corrective actions before escalation.
