American Battery Solutions Inc. in Lake Orion, MI, seeks a Senior BMS Hardware Design Engineer to lead the design, development, integration and validation of battery management system hardware for advanced energy storage applications.

You will own technical direction from requirements to production release, collaborating with software, cell, manufacturing and test teams while mentoring engineers and driving design maturity across the BMS group.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or bachelor’s with equivalent BMS experience.
• Minimum five years engineering experience in BMS, battery systems, embedded hardware or power electronics.
• Hands-on experience leading schematic design, hardware bring-up, and debugging.
• Experience designing high‑voltage and low‑voltage battery systems and interfaces.
• Experience taking BMS hardware from concept through production release.

Responsabilidades

• Own the design and architecture of BMS hardware including sensing, protection, control and interfaces.
• Review and release electrical schematics, components and interfaces for battery packs.
• Lead PCB layout reviews and hardware bring-up with power-on, measurements, debugging and rework.
• Define BMS hardware requirements and documentation with systems engineering.
• Conduct DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and worst‑case circuit assessments.
• Validate BMS hardware with functional tests and fault‑injection scenarios.
• Coordinate with embedded software to bring‑up hardware and debug system‑level issues.
• Mentor engineers and promote design standards and best practices.
