American Battery Solutions Inc. is seeking an Electrical Hardware Technician in Lake Orion, MI to support BMS hardware development. You will build, test, and troubleshoot PCBAs in a lab, using CAN tools to communicate with BMS hardware during bring-up and validation.

You will work with engineers in a fast-paced environment, maintain lab fixtures, and ensure safety and accurate documentation while handling high/low voltage battery-related tasks.

Qualificações

• Requires an Associate degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology or relevant certificate.
• Minimum 3 years of electronics/electrical hardware lab experience.
• Experience operating oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and electronic loads.
• Hands-on PCB soldering/rework including SMT and through-hole; IPC‑A‑610/J‑STD‑001 familiarity preferred.
• Hands-on CAN tools/interfaces for hardware communication, monitoring, or debugging.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills; safety and battery handling emphasis.

Responsabilidades

• Build, rework, and repair PCBAs including SMT and through-hole soldering.
• Assemble, wire, and maintain lab test benches and fixtures for BMS hardware validation.
• Perform functional testing and characterization using test equipment; document results.
• Use CAN tools for communication, monitoring, and debugging during bring-up.
• Diagnose hardware faults and support root-cause investigations with engineers.
• Update PCBAs to implement ECOs and design revisions.
• Maintain records of builds, procedures, and calibration status.
