Job summary

The Hartford Steam Boiler, a Munich Re subsidiary, seeks a senior Business Project Manager to lead IT project delivery and business readiness initiatives. You will partner with business and IT leaders to deliver measurable outcomes, manage risks, and ensure successful change adoption across programs.

Responsibilities include developing integrated plans, documenting requirements, coordinating stakeholders, and tracking benefits realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
• 8+ years as a business or IT project manager and/or business analyst.
• PMP or PMI certification desired.
• Experience leading change and managing transitions is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a matrixed resource model and managing stakeholder expectations across divisions.
• Experience supporting complex data, analytics, reporting, BI, or AI initiatives is preferred.
• Experience coordinating data-related projects, including data readiness, migration, quality, or validation activities, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the business components of complex IT projects, developing project plans and managing risks and resources.
• Coordinate business readiness and change activities with stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Ensure thorough documentation of requirements, process designs, and specs for development.
• Monitor progress, manage scope, and control schedule and budget across the project life cycle.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing planning and execution.
• Develop and execute business readiness, rollout, communication, training, and change plans.
• Drive value tracking and benefits realization post-project.
• Identify risks and remove roadblocks to achieve project goals.
