Amgen seeks a Senior Counsel Biotech Patent Law - Biosimilars to develop and execute market access strategies for biosimilars and/or innovator molecules, including freedom-to-operate analyses for drug substance, drug product, formulations, processes, and methods of treatment. The role may be remote or hybrid at Thousand Oaks, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Cambridge, MA.

Requires JD/LLM, 4 years IP experience, USPTO registration; 7+ years preferred, biotech background, and strong drafting and

Qualifications

• J.D. or LL.M. from an accredited law school with US admission.
• Four years of experience in intellectual property law.
• USPTO registration to practice law.

Responsibilities

• Identify relevant patents and perform prior art searches.
• Develop and implement global freedom-to-operate strategies with in-house attorneys.
• Draft and prosecute patent applications; provide litigation support.
• Advise on IP strategies for Amgen's business and research.
• Work in legal teams and cross-functional business teams.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and globally.
