Job summary

HP Inc. is seeking a Firmware Engineer BIOS/UEFI to join the hardware and software teams in the United States. You will design, implement, and verify embedded firmware across BIOS/UEFI, EC, and platform components, ensuring reliability and maintainability in production.

The role requires deep experience in embedded systems, C/C++, debugging, and a strong focus on quality metrics, test planning, and cross‑functional collaboration with hardware, firmware, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 10+ years of experience in embedded firmware, quality engineering, hardware/firmware debugging, or reliability engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain firmware test plans including functional, regression, stress, and long-duration tests.
• Review firmware code and test plans for quality and reliability.
• Perform root-cause analysis for firmware defects and validate fixes.
