Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Principal BIOS Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop and debug BIOS and platform firmware for HPC products. You will work closely with hardware teams on initialization, bring-up, and diagnostics, influencing design and validation to ensure reliable firmware across server platforms.

Required expertise includes C/C++, UEFI, and Linux development, with a strong track record in BIOS across multiple processor families and architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in BIOS development.
• Expertise with C/C++ for platform firmware development and BIOS technologies across processor families and architectures.
• Experience with UEFI firmware development including initialization, driver development, debugging, and integration.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs BIOS and platform firmware for high-performance computing products.
• Works close to hardware including initialization, board bring-up, interfaces, and diagnostic tools.
• Leads or coordinates project work with software/hardware partners to deliver reliable firmware solutions.
• Mentors less experienced engineers and communicates status, risks, and options across teams.
