Job summary

HP in Spring, TX seeks a Firmware Engineer BIOS/UEFI to develop and validate firmware across BIOS/UEFI, EC, and platform components. You will work with hardware engineers, QA, and cross-functional teams to define quality metrics and prevent regressions.

The role requires 7–10 years in embedded firmware, strong C/C++, and expertise in debugging tools, CI/CD, and test automation to ensure robust, long-term reliability of HP platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of experience in embedded firmware, quality engineering, or reliability engineering.
• Background in embedded systems, microcontrollers, debugging, and system architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain firmware test plans including functional and regression tests.
• Evaluate firmware architecture and testing methodologies to improve quality and reliability.
• Perform root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions for firmware defects.
