Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia seeks a qualified Biomedical Equipment Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, installation, testing, calibration, and repairs on biomedical and imaging equipment and related systems. The role requires strong knowledge of electronic repair and safety standards.

The candidate will visit multiple locations, support vendor documentation, and provide training on equipment. A degree in electronics or equivalent experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5 years progressive experience in repair/maintenance in medical imaging if no degree.

Responsibilities

• Complete PM workload to maintain high PM compliance.
• Perform safety checks, repairs and installations on biomedical and communications equipment.
• Source supplies to service equipment cost-effectively.
• Maintain technical literature and standards for the biomedical program.
• Ensure regulatory and quality control compliance of equipment.
• Present to peers on trends and updates.
• Provide in-service training on biomedical equipment and electrical safety.
