Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to provide advanced maintenance, installation, calibration, and repair of biomedical and clinical data systems across our facilities.

You will perform PMs, QA testing, and support equipment reliability to ensure patient safety and uptime. The role requires strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with vendors and staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 5 years of progressive repair experience in biomedical equipment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance on general and specialized biomedical equipment.
• Ability to respond to ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and dye injector service calls.
• Ability to operate in operating rooms and communicate in a customer-focused environment.
• Proficiency with device records and work-order tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, inspect, troubleshoot, calibrate, and perform PMs on biomedical equipment.
• Develop and implement PM manuals and QA testing procedures.
• Review incident reports to ensure patient safety.
• Lead evaluations, acquisitions, and installations of new equipment.
• Obtain quotes and manage bids for capital purchases.
• Evaluate repair scope to maximize uptime and minimize costs.
• Provide in-service training and oversee external contractors.
