Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to deliver advanced maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical and related systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, and installations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The role requires proficiency with anesthesia machines, ultrasound devices, and related equipment, plus strong problem solving and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years progressive experience in electronic/electromechanical repairs.
• Proficient in preventive maintenance on biomedical equipment.
• Knowledge of safety standards and QA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Completes PM workload to maintain high PM compliance.
• Performs safety checks, repairs, and installations of biomedical and communications equipment.
• Identifies supplies and materials to service equipment cost-effectively.
• Maintains technical literature and manufacturer references for biomedical program.
• Ensures equipment complies with regulatory requirements and quality control standards.
• Delivers presentations to peers on trends; provides in-service training on equipment and electrical safety.
