Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University seeks an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician to perform preventive maintenance, installation, testing, calibration, and repair of biomedical and clinical data systems. The role includes leading equipment evaluations, obtaining quotes, and ensuring patient safety through quality assurance practices.

Required are electronics/electromechanical repair skills, Vender coordination, and the ability to work in a customer-focused environment, including operating room

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field or 5 years of progressive repair experience in biomedical equipment.
• 4 years progressive experience in electronic/electromechanical repairs & preventive maintenance on biomedical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and calibrates biomedical equipment.
• Reviews, updates PM manuals and QA testing procedures for medical equipment.
• Responds to service calls in operating rooms and to diagnostic ultrasound, portable fluoroscopy, and dye injector systems.
