Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University is seeking an experienced biomedical equipment technician to provide advanced maintenance and service on biomedical and clinical data systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, testing, calibration, and repairs while ensuring regulatory and safety standards are met.

This role requires strong teamwork and the ability to work at multiple locations within the Philadelphia area.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field or 2 years progressive PM experience on biomedical equipment.
• 1 year progressive experience performing electronic/electromechanical repairs and maintenance on biomedical equipment.
• Ability to perform component-level repairs at least 35% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and safety checks on biomedical and communications equipment.
• Repairs, installs, calibrates, tests, and troubleshoots equipment; maintains cost-effective parts and materials.
• Maintains technical literature, regulatory compliance, and quality control standards; provides training on equipment and electrical safety.
