Thomas Jefferson University in Lansdale, PA is seeking an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician to uphold maintenance, calibration, and repair of diverse medical devices and systems. The role includes evaluating new equipment, securing quotes, and ensuring patient safety through proper QA practices.

Candidates should have strong repair skills, in-depth knowledge of PM processes, and the ability to train staff while coordinating with external vendors.

Formación

• Associate’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field, or 5 years progressive repair/maintenance experience.
• Ability to respond to diagnostic ultrasound, portable fluoroscopy, and dye injector service calls.
• Ability to respond to service calls in the operating rooms.
• Proficient in maintaining device records and using computer-based work order systems.

Responsabilidades

• Repairs, installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and calibrates equipment.
• Reviews and updates preventive maintenance procedures and QA testing.
• Leads new equipment evaluations, acquisitions, and installations.
• Obtain quotes and work with bids for capital purchases.
• Provide in-service training to other biomedical technicians and oversee external contractors/vendors.
