Job summary

Blue Water Thinking, LLC is seeking an experienced Biomedical Engineer to manage our medical equipment program and ensure safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance in our healthcare facility.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of hospital experience in medical equipment maintenance or management, with knowledge of computer-based medical systems, networking, and information security relevant to healthcare technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or CCE certification.
• At least 3 years in hospital/healthcare equipment maintenance or program management.
• Knowledge of computer-based medical systems, networking, and information security.
• Ability to develop a compliant medical equipment program and CE curriculum.
• Ability to manage recalls and safety alerts per SMDA and TJC requirements.
• Capital asset and infrastructure planning for medical equipment.
• Subject-matter expert in biomedical engineering with clinical tech support.
• Ability to advise staff on emerging medical technology and safety.
• Apply project management to deployment of medical equipment and health IT.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a compliant medical equipment management program.
• Create a continuing education curriculum for medical staff.
• Manage recall and safety alert program for medical devices.
• Lead capital asset and infrastructure planning for medical equipment.
• Provide direct support for clinical technology and life-cycle management.
• Advise staff on medical technology viability and safety.
• Apply project management to deployments of equipment and health IT.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of medical tech.
