Job summary

Blue Water Thinking in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an experienced Biomedical Engineer to oversee our medical equipment program, ensuring safety, functionality and regulatory compliance within a healthcare facility. The role requires at least three years in hospital or healthcare settings, plus knowledge of computer-based medical systems, networking, and information security.

You will lead capital planning, staff training, recalls and safety alerts, and work with clinical and administrative teams

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years hospital or healthcare experience in medical equipment maintenance or management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or CCE certification.
• Knowledge of computer-based medical systems, networking, and information security as applied to medical technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a medical equipment management program.
• Create a continuing education curriculum for staff on medical technology use.
• Manage a recall and safety alert program for medical devices.
• Lead capital asset and infrastructure planning for medical equipment.
• Provide SME support for clinical technology and lifecycle management.
• Advise staff on viability, compatibility, and safety of medical technology.
• Apply project management to deployment of medical equipment and health IT.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
• Stay updated on ISO and regulatory standards.
