Job summary

Veracyte, Inc. seeks a seasoned Bioinformatics Scientist to join our Bioinformatics and Data Science Team focused on regulated diagnostics. You will design, develop and validate genomic assays, build scalable AWS pipelines, and ensure CAP/CLIA/FDA compliance through rigorous documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD or MS in bioinformatics or related field with 6–7 years of experience, deep NGS knowledge, Python proficiency, and strong collaboration with QA/regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related data science field.
• 6–7+ years in bioinformatics analysis, algorithm development, and pipeline implementation.
• Strong understanding of NGS technologies and library prep methods.
• Experience deploying workflows in AWS and containerized environments.
• Collaborates with QA and Regulatory Affairs on validation and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead bioinformatics design, development and validation for new and on-market products.
• Develop scalable, production-grade workflows for high-throughput NGS data analysis (AWS).
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering to enable production pipelines.
• Ensure CAP/CLIA/FDA compliance throughout development lifecycle.
• Develop and apply ML techniques to evaluate assay performance and optimization.
• Communicate results and methods to internal teams and external collaborators.
• Support regulatory submissions and audits with validation reports.
