Job summary

10x Genomics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist to join the clinical bioinformatics team. The role focuses on translating single-cell and spatial assay data into clinically meaningful insights, with emphasis on robust software development and scalable analyses.

The successful candidate will design and implement computational methods, develop reproducible pipelines, and derive biomarkers from large-scale datasets to support diagnostics.

Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics or related field with extensive hands-on single-cell NGS data analysis.
• 5+ years of industry experience after PhD.
• Understanding of assumptions/limitations of statistical methods.
• Experience developing/high-performance scalable code.
• Experience analyzing large-scale single-cell/spatial datasets to derive biological insights/biomarkers.

Responsibilities

• Implement rigorous computational/statistical methods for single-cell and spatial data analysis.
• Develop and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for reproducible, large-scale processing.
• Design, implement and validate biomarker scores for diagnostics.
• Process datasets spanning hundreds to thousands of samples.
• Derive actionable clinical/translational insights from datasets.
