Helix is seeking a Staff Bioinformatics Scientist to lead pipeline accuracy and reliability in a regulated environment, delivering high-quality results for patients. The role focuses on developing bioinformatics capabilities, coordinating with engineering, lab, quality, and clinical teams, and validating clinical analytics.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree with 5+ years or a PhD with 3+ years of experience, with hands-on DNA sequencing data analysis and Python coding skills.

• Hands-on experience analyzing DNA sequencing data.
• Coding and/or data analysis in Python.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges to drive tasks to completion.

Responsabilidades

• Develop new bioinformatics capabilities to expand use cases and drive volume.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, lab, quality, and clinical teams to launch new science products.
• Support operations by evaluating and triaging bioinformatics data underlying clinical variant calls.
• Oversee bioinformatics operations, including developing tools and methods to identify and track key metrics.
• Develop, maintain, and document clinical analytical validations.
