Job summary

Lilly is seeking a skilled chemist to join the PTE team at the Lilly Medicine Foundry. The role focuses on transferring bioconjugation processes for ADC production from development labs to pilot and later clinical manufacturing, working with potent molecules and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include process transfer, method development, and collaboration with engineers and quality professionals to ensure right-first-time manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in biochemistry, chemical biology, conjugation chemistry, chemical engineering with 6+ years of manufacturing experience or PhD with 2+ years.
• Experience leading technology transfer end to end from development to clinical manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate transfer of bioconjugation processes from development labs to pilot plant operations, guiding junior scientists.
• Perform bioconjugation to form ADCs, including antibody preparation and DAR analysis.
• Work with multiple conjugation strategies (maleimide, click, enzymatic).
• Operate with highly potent molecules in lab and single-use bioprocessing systems.
• Mentor and potentially supervise colleagues across disciplines.
• Contribute to process troubleshooting, RCA, and CAPAs with safety and quality teams.
