Job summary

Merck is seeking a Principal Scientist in Boston to lead bioanalytical strategies for biologics within the PDMB group. You will manage a team performing ligand binding assays and MS-based analyses, and collaborate with discovery teams across oncology and immunology portfolios.

The role requires a Ph.D. or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s with 10+ years, and involves cross‑functional teamwork, translational PK/PD work, and leadership responsibilities in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s with extensive relevant industry/academic experience in biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership in bioanalytical strategies for biologics and related modalities.

Responsibilities

• Lead bioanalytical strategies for biologics and other modalities providing high quality data to discovery teams.
• Manage a team of PDMB scientists developing ligand binding assays and MS-based bioanalysis.
• Serve as project-team SME on multi-modality DMPK activities within oncology and immunology.
• Represent PDMB on cross-functional teams and communicate PK/PD results clearly.
