Job summary

Baker Group in Des Moines, IA seeks an Industrial BIM/VDC Senior Detailer to lead the BIM Team in developing 3D models, spools, and install drawings, and to review work for QA/QC against contract docs and constructability.

You will coordinate detailing work packages, schedules, and lead detailing teams, while engaging with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors to keep detailing on track and aligned with project goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience in detailing; plumbing/steam fitting background preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of P&ID’s and PFD’s.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple detailing projects ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and quality.
• Develop pre-project conceptual models and layouts with limited input.
• Create and manage work packages to support detailing workflows.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for detailing activities.
• Lead and coordinate detailing teams and external resources.
• Forecast manpower requirements and manage project staffing.
