Job summary

The Baker Group is seeking an Industrial BIM/VDC Detailer in Des Moines, IA to develop detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical and piping systems and produce spool, coordination, and install drawings. You will review completed work against contract documents and support field teams with coordination and problem solving.

You must have five years of plumbing and steam fitting apprenticeship or equivalent, strong knowledge of piping/HVAC, and proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, ACC, Stratus, Excel,

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in plumbing and steam fitting apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of plumbing, piping, and HVAC piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical and plumbing piping systems.
• Produce spool sheets, shop drawings, and installation drawings to support fabrication.
• Coordinate piping systems with other trades and perform clash detection.
• Review submittals (P&IDs) for accuracy against project requirements.
• Lead or co-lead model reviews with owners and project stakeholders.
• Communicate design intent and coordinate with project managers and field teams.
