Job summary

Baker Group seeks a BIM-VDC Project Specialist to coordinate models, ensure data accuracy, and optimize workflows across Engineering, Detailing, and BIM teams. You will maintain standards, provide technical support, and assist in BIM tool rollout and training at our Ankeny office.

Ideal candidates have at least five years of Revit and BIM360/ACC experience, strong communication, and a solid understanding of construction principles. On-site collaboration with multiple business units is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of directly related experience with Revit and BIM360/ACC.
• Practical experience with Bluebeam and MS Office Suite applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud and Revit.
• Solid understanding of construction principles.
• Experience with Revit API programming is a plus.
• Experience with 3D scan data and alignment is a plus.
• Knowledge of Fabrication ITM Database is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review BIM Models and Install Drawings for standards compliance and best practices.
• Provide spooling support for Detailing Departments.
• Perform project coordination and clash detection for BIM projects.
• Align BIM models to GPS project coordinates.
• Support BIM team by developing understanding of applications used across units.
• Assist in documenting BIM procedures and rollouts.
• Assist in developing and delivering BIM training sessions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical BIM software issues.
• Oversee management of the Fabrication ITM library.
• Provide ongoing ACC platform support during deployment of new apps.
• Collaborate with BIM leaders to identify new tools and technologies.
• Assist in developing and optimizing existing tools used across units.
• Partner with team members to resolve persistent BIM issues.
• Work with BIM leaders to standardize procedures and workflows.
