Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Design Technology Administrator III, BIM to join our team remotely. The role provides administration, maintenance, training, and support for design-technology tools to ensure efficient usage across projects.

You will lead MEP BIM standards, mentor engineers, and collaborate with IT and project teams to optimize workflows, model coordination, and digital delivery. A degree in civil engineering or information technology and 5–7 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in related field.
• Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years’ relevant industry-related experience
• In-depth knowledge of civil engineering software applications, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley Microstation, Revit, BIM360, Navisworks, and other industry-specific tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively and communicate with employees of all levels both in person and electronically.
• Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource for Mechanical and Electrical BIM workflows, standards, and digital delivery initiatives.
• Lead development and implementation of MEP-specific Revit standards, content libraries, and automation tools that improve design quality, coordination, and production efficiency.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering leadership to identify opportunities for workflow automation, model intelligence, and data-driven project delivery.
• Mentor engineers and designers on advanced MEP modeling techniques, BIM best practices, and custom tool utilization.
• Serve as a discipline BIM leader for mechanical and Electrical projects, promoting company BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers and designers in BIM processes, model development, and coordination procedures.
• Review mechanical BIM models for compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), company standards, and quality requirements.
