Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an experienced CAD/BIM professional to lead teams in creating intelligent models and construction drawings using CADD and Revit in a collaborative project environment. You will ensure model integrity, coordinate across disciplines, and support project engineers throughout the lifecycle.

Ideal candidates bring 6 years of relevant work, strong attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multi-discipline models while applying firm standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 6 years of relevant experience. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must have Revit experience.
• Must have experience modeling industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Leads teams to prepare basic to highly complex construction drawings using intelligent modeling and/or CADD.
• Utilizes advanced CADD drafting/design techniques per the firm’s standards.
• Incorporates information from vendors and manuals into intelligent models and drawings.
• Performs CADD/technical support tasks and verifies model integrity.
• Acts as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to ensure coordination and QC compliance.
• Reviews junior staff work to ensure consistency and standards.
