Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to support design teams on civil/engineering projects. You will develop basic to complex models and drawings, review vendor prints, and provide guidance for refinement of technical requirements while ensuring QA/QC standards.

The role requires strong CADD drafting knowledge, familiarity with design criteria, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. Domestic/international travel may be required; no travel if not needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares basic to highly complex intelligent models, details and/or general arrangement drawings per level of design.
• Reviews manufacturers’ or fabricators’ prints for design documents.
• Provides guidance to modeling personnel for finished drawings and layouts.
• Determines material needs and performs calculations per firm’s standards.
• Performs CADD/technical support tasks and ensures model integrity.
• Acts as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to coordinate design team work.
• Crosschecks drawings for consistency and adherence to QC standards.
